1 Procedures for IFR Flights within TMA

NIL

2 Communications Failure

In the event of communications failure, the pilot shall act in accordance with the procedures for communications failure set out in ICAO Annex 2.

Due to the air/ground limitations, aircraft operating within Tarapoto TMA below FL 080 between radials 137 and 271 from 35 DME to 50 DME/110 DME VOR TAP, will only receive Flight Information Service (FIS). This provision complemets the note that appears in the TMA graphic on AIP-PERU AD 2A SPST 15 page.

3 Procedures for VFR flights within TMA

Flights to Tarapoto from aerodromes without an ATS unit, coordinate Flight plan and take-off time submission to the following telephone numbers 042-527042 and 042-521053.

Aircraft flying from/to aerodromes without an ATS service within or in the vecinity of TMA Tarapoto will proceed according to RAP 311 Air Traffic Services, appendix 9 Air Traffic Information transmtited by the aircraft (TIBA).

1.1 Bird concentration in the vecinity of the airport:

There is a daily bird concentration in the vecinity of Runway 17/35. Pilots caution on landing and take-off.

1.2 New terminal prevents visibility from the Control tower to the parking stands 02, 03, 04, 05 and apron. Pilots caution on landing and take-off.

1.3 Concrete power poles on Runway 17 approach cone with the following characteristics: 11 m high and 135 m from the runway 17 threshold. Pilots contact Control Tower.
